At DailFin, protecting your financial information is fundamental to how we design and build our products.
Unlike many personal finance applications that rely on centralized cloud storage, DailFin follows a local-first architecture. During normal use of the application, your financial information remains on your device, helping reduce unnecessary exposure of sensitive financial data.
Our philosophy is simple: The safest place for your financial information is under your control.
Security and privacy are considered from the earliest stages of product development.
Your transactions, receipts, budgets, financial goals, and AI-generated insights remain on your device during normal use.
You decide when and how your information is exported or shared.
We regularly review our application, dependencies, and development practices to improve security, reliability, and resilience.
During normal use of DailFin, financial information including transactions, income, expenses, receipt images, OCR data, budgets, goals, categories, AI insights, reports, and preferences is stored locally on your device.
DailFin does not maintain a centralized database containing your personal financial history as part of the core application experience.
DailFin's core financial management features do not require continuous communication with DailFin servers.
Should future optional features require communication with external services, DailFin will use industry-standard encrypted communication protocols to help protect information during transmission.
Any such features will be designed to transmit only the minimum information necessary to provide the requested functionality.
DailFin benefits from security features provided by Android and iOS, including device authentication, biometric authentication where available, application sandboxing, secure storage mechanisms, operating system security updates, and permission-based access controls.
Availability depends on the device and operating system.
We regularly review DailFin's codebase, third-party dependencies, and security practices.
Security improvements are delivered through official application updates, and users are encouraged to keep the application updated.
DailFin is designed so that it does not:
To help protect your financial information, you should:
DailFin currently relies on trusted platform providers such as the Apple App Store and Google Play for application distribution and subscription management.
These providers operate under their own privacy and security policies.
DailFin's core financial management features do not depend on external servers.
If we become aware of a security issue affecting DailFin itself, we will investigate promptly and take appropriate action.
Where required by law, affected users will be notified if a security incident materially impacts their information.
If you believe you have identified a security vulnerability, please contact us.
Include a description of the issue, reproduction steps, supporting evidence where available, and device information.
Please do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities until they have been reviewed.

Before introducing future features that communicate with external services, we will evaluate security, privacy, data minimization, user control, and regulatory compliance to ensure they align with DailFin's local-first philosophy.
Security is an ongoing commitment. We continuously strengthen DailFin's architecture, development practices, and application security while preserving user privacy and control.
